Here are the top 10 California hospitals by 2007 gross revenue (with figures rounded to the nearest hundred million), according to the American Hospital Directory.
  1. New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center (New York) — $6.3 billion
  2. Montefiore Medical Center - Moses Division Hospital (Bronx) —$4.7 billion
  3. North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset) — $3.2 billion
  4. The Mount Sinai Hospital (New York) — $2.8 billion
  5. New York University Elaine A. and Kenneth G. Langone Medical Center (New York) — $2.4 billion
  6. Long Island Jewish Medical Center (New Hyde Park) — $2.3 billion
  7. Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (New York) — $2.2 billion
  8. Beth Israel Medical Center - Petrie Division (New York) — $2.1 billion
  9. Lenox Hill Hospital (New York) — $2.1 billion
  10. Saint Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center - Saint Luke's Hospital (New York) — $2.1 billion
